Rumors about Backstreet Boys following the steps of fellow '90s icon Britney Spears started to erupt last year, and then BAM! The official announcement was made, and now the time is finally here. The best-selling boy band ever (sorry N'SYNC and New Kids on the Block) is about to take over Sin City and we cannot contain ourselves. For a few months this year they will be making grown woman's panties get all twisted, and here's why.
Starting March 1, 2017, Nick, AJ, Brian, Howie and Kevin will be at the AXIS inside Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino for 17 shows throughout March and April, and then they'll be back in the summer for nine more. In case you haven't gotten tickets yet, here's the link! Now that you've spent the money, you need to know what you're going to get when you head out to Vegas for Backstreet Boys.
Brian told Rolling Stone, "If you've ever been to a Backstreet Boys show, it’s going to be that on steroids." They have promised all of the hits. Which, let's be real...that's what you want. While they have new music on the way later this year, it seems like we aren't going to walk into these shows knowing very little. With over 20 years of music to their name so far, you can be sure they'll rock their body to "Everybody," give their most with "All I Have to Give" and if they're like Boyz II Men, hand out roses during one of the best love songs, "I'll Never Break Your Heart."
Other than the possibility of maybe one or two new songs, the guys may have special guests on hand throughout their Vegas run. They noted that they aren't closed to the idea of their friends stopping by. They did just collaborate with country's Florida Georgia Line, and then of course if James Corden stops by to give fans another whiff of their Late Late Show performance in the flesh.
Really though, what we want is for them to bring that chair dance back from the "As Long As You Love Me" video. As a diehard fan since she was 12-years-old, I can say I haven't seen them do that as a woman who is almost 30 in a long ass time. I get they're older now but if they want to say this is their regular show "on steroids," then they need to really bring it.
